Usman Haque
In keeping with much of Haque’s work, Primal Source invited the public to participate in the making of the art, creating at once a spectacle to watch and a spectacle to join. Eight microphones positioned in front of the large lake built on the beach to supply the water for the 40′ wide by 20′ high water wall, received sound input from the public. Specially constructed software translated the sound signals into visuals that were projected onto the water wall.
